U8 Little Americans

U8 "Little Americans"

The program is designed for those children who are looking to take their love of soccer to the next level. Children will be advancing their foot skills and ball mastery in practice while learning to perform advanced moves with their teammates in 4 v 4 matches competing against other local club teams. The intention of the U8 Little Americans is to be the foundation for future Americans Soccer Club teams. By the end of the program, children who have participated in the Young Americans U8 program will be prepared to try out for the Americans Soccer Club’s U9 team with confidence, enthusiasm and excitement.

Below are some details about our vision for the Little Americans.  This will be a full year commitment consisting of:

Fall and Spring Seasons

  • 10 week fall season will start early-September and end mid-November
  • 10 week spring season will start early-April and end mid-June
  • 90 minute practices held twice per week (boys and girls separate)
  • 4v4 "games" on weekends against other local club teams
  • At least one tournament or festival in each of the Spring and the Fall seasons

Winter Season

  • 12 weeks of 90 minute practices held once per week indoors
  • Potential participation in indoor tournaments

All teams will have professional World Class FC trainers for all practices and "games."

For questions about any of these programs, please contact our Young Americans Program Coordinator, Patti Polizzi-Walker

As mentioned on the Small Sided Changes page, beginning with the 2017-2018 season US Youth Soccer has mandated that U8 players play 4v4 "games" with no goalies and no referees.  Given this change, the Northern Counties Soccer Association, the league in which most area U8 teams have historically played, is no longer offering U8 flights.  However, the Americans Soccer Club will be scheduling games with a number of local clubs specifically for the U8 age group.
